Newborn Photography. It's not just a job, it's an art. Mary Bradley Photography, PA Photographer

When I first started newborn photography I thought, 'this will be easy! Newborns sleep all the time through everything. I just need to buy a couple cute props and throw them in there and get a few shots!' Boy was I wrong! In fact, it is rare to get a baby to sleep through all the poses, and sometimes they won't sleep at all! Then there is angles, and lighting. Not to mention the business portion and paying taxes.

Newborn photography is a lot of work, but it is so worth it. I have now taken several online courses on posing, lighting, and of course safety. Last year I went to Florida for an in person learning experience with Amy McDaniel from Dewdrops Photography and Krystal Sanderfur from Krystal Sanderfur Photography. Getting the babies angled just right, having the lighting feathering on to them just so, and wrapping them up to look like a little ball all take practice. It is a lot of work. But honestly I wouldn't change it for anything! I absolutely love getting to snuggle those sweet little newborns, and capturing their perfect little expressions.

This little girl really made me work! But look how absolutely adorable she is. I am so overjoyed that I got to meet her and capture these for mom and dad and of course grandparents and aunts and uncles. Let's show some love to little Yolimar
