Every woman is different, and every pregnancy is different. Some women start to show really soon in their pregnancy and others are much further along when they show. When I was pregnant with my first, it took forever to have a belly to show off. But once it decided to make a debut it grew really fast! My second pregnancy showed much sooner than the first.
I always find pregnant bellies so fascinating. Women are such amazing creatures to be able to accomodate an entire little human growing inside them until they are ready to make their debut! I also find it fascinating how babies decide to be born at such different times! A typical pregnancy lasts 40 weeks, however babies can come whenever they are ready. My earliest baby came at 36 weeks, and my latest came at almost 42 weeks.
If you want your pregnancy documented by a photographer, it is typically best between 34 and 36 weeks. That way you will have a belly to show off, and it won't be so late that you are nervous about going in to labor early and not getting to document this time. But please don't wait to long to book! You can actually book as soon as you find out you are expecting to ensure your photographer can fit you in closer to your due date.
