Did you know the the best time to book your newborn session is in your second trimester? Spots fill up fast, so the sooner you book your session the better your odds are for getting a spot! I only book a certain amount of newborns per month so I know I will have plenty of room with early and late arriving babies. To hold your spot I put you down for your due date, and then I adjust the date once baby arrives. It is best to let your newborn photographer know that the baby has arrived within 1 to 2 days of their arrival so they can get you on the schedule! Typically newborn sessions are done within 5-21 days after baby is born. It is a whirlwind of appointments for mom and baby. Make sure to schedule your newborn session on a date that you do not have any other appointments scheduled. A newborn session can take up to 3 hours and I don't want mom stressing about needing to be at another appointment. This should be a time to relax. Sit back and read a book, take a nap, or just watch the show! Having a new baby is stressful enough and babies can sense the stress. So take a deep breath and try to relax.
